SPAN-4344: Hispanic Literature and the Representation of History
Description: Focuses on the relationship between history and literature in the Hispanic world through an interdisciplinary lens. Examines different geographical regions of the Hispanic world, theoretical readings, and the ways that authors have used various literary styles to portray, re-write, subvert, and even contradict their countries official history. Examines texts that have aesthetic value and historical and cultural significance. Practices advanced Spanish oral and writing skills. This variable topics course may be repeated up to three times if topics are different.
