Description: Fundamental nature and performance of civil infrastructure materials, including metals, portland cement concrete, asphalt concrete, polymers, and wood. Material properties, microstructure, and mechanical behavior. Laboratory experimental procedures and standardized testing, property variability, durability, sustainability and resilience. Design of cementitious and asphalt mixtures, experimental design, non-destructive testing. Design lab/studio.
