CEE-3434: Design of Steel Structures I
Description: Properties and behavior of structural steel. Design of steel members and connections using American Institute of Steel Construction specifications. Consideration of loads, structural safety, and serviceability. Design of members to resist tension, compression, and bending. Design of basic steel connections including tension connections, bearing plates, and base plates. Team-based design project to design a simple steel framed building. Design Lab/Studio.
