VM-9034: Advanced Small Animal Surgery
Description: This course concentrates on the study of soft tissues and orthopedic surgical principles and methods that are applicable to small animal practice. Emphasis is placed on the identification of disease conditions treatable by surgical therapy, applicable surgical methods, and expected outcome. Detailed, step-by-step, surgical procedures will be presented prior to student performance in the complementary laboratory in the Advance Small Animal Surgery Laboratory course (VM 9134).
