Description: Current developments, problems, and cases at the intersection of science, technology & law; particular focus is placed on intellectual property law and on social, ethical, and other legal issues prompted by new technologies and scientific advancements. Topics include copyright protection in a digital environment; patent law challenges such as patent trolls, patent thickets, ethical considerations related to patenting of life forms; design patents; innovation policy and economic considerations; intellectual property reform efforts; advanced discourse.
