STAT-4364: Introduction to Statistical Genomics

Description: Statistical methods for bioinformatics and genetic studies, with an emphasis on statistical analysis, assumptions, and problem-solving. Topics include: commonly used statistical methods for gene identification, association mapping and other related problems. Focus on statistical tools for gene expression studies and association studies, multiple comparison procedures, likelihood inference and preparation for advanced study in the areas of bioinformatics and statistical genetics.
