SPAN-3534: Spanish for Business Professions
Description: Specialized course applying knowledge of the Spanish language and its cultures to the business professions. Contextualized use of specific vocabulary, idiomatic expressions, grammar structures, and cultural practices in real-world situations and written formats such as cover letters and business memos. Discussion on cultures of business in the Hispanic world. Analysis of business topics related to Spanish-speaking populations in a global context. Examination of Hispanic cultural artifacts such as film and narrative that explore issues of cultural and linguistic diversity in the business professions. Analysis of economic and political history of Spanish-speaking populations. Taught in Spanish.
