Description: The analysis of the economic activities of women in contemporary society. The past and present relationship between womens domestic and market labor is examined, followed by an in-depth investigation of womens labor force experiences. Competing sociological explanations are examined, providing the basis for exploring occupational segregation, inequalities of outcomes and comparable worth.
