Cellular and molecular basis of neuronal signaling including electrical properties of neurons, synaptic transmission, and integration. Neurotransmitter systems and molecular signaling. Neural development and synaptic plasticity. 2026: Systems-level overview of the central nervous system. Sensory systems including olfaction, temperature, and pain. Retinal control of vision.
