Description: Applied and theoretical concepts in the valuation and management of mining and energy extraction projects. Project engineering, resource management, scheduling, and tracking. Estimation of capital costs, operating costs, and revenues for underground and surface mines, mineral beneficiation plants, and oil and gas ventures. Commodity sales contracts and price projections. Cash flow analysis, revenue-generating and service producing alternative selection, taxes/deductions. Quantitative risk analysis including stochastic simulation. Environmental, ethical, and legal considerations in project management.
