ME-6104: Advanced Topics in Thermodynamics
Description: Exposition of the basic concepts and principles of statistical thermodynamics including statistical mechanics, probability theory, quantum mechanics, kinetic theory, and thermo-physical and transport properties. Presentation of the basic concepts and principles of gas dynamics for compressible flow within normal temperature ranges (i.e. excluding the very high temperatures at which plasmas form). A more in depth look at chemical thermodynamics including chemical equilibrium and chemical kinetics. II.
