MATH-5514: Topics in Mathematical Biology
Description: Various graduate level topics in mathematics as they apply to biological problems. Representation of biological phenomena as mathematical models, and derivation of model features with analytical techniques and numerical simulation. Depending on the semester, may cover the following topics: applied stochastic modeling and Markov chains; multi-scale dynamics of infectious disease; or network systems. May be repeated 2 times with different content for a maximum of 9 credits. Pre: Graduate standing.
