Description: An examination of the human sensory and perceptual experience of sound, with emphasis on relating the capabilities and limitations of audition to the design of auditory display systems and to noise abatement in hearing conservation efforts. In addition to discussion of human sound reception and sensitivity, human psychological and physiological responses to sound will be covered.
