HIST-2124: Topics and Critical Issues in World History

Description: Introduction to the problems, methods and fundamental skills of the discipline of history through the study of significant themes and critical issues in world history. Emphasis on the study of source materials and historical interpretations. Specific thematic content is variable. Examines political, economic, social, and cultural change at historically specific periods of time around the world with a focus on drawing comparisons and making connections across regional spaces. Specific topics may vary from semester to semester. May be repeated two times with different content for a maximum of 9 credit hours.
