HIST-1024: Ancient History
Description: Surveys the civilizations and peoples of Greece, Rome, and the Ancient Near East (including Egypt and Mesopotamia) from the invention of writing around 3,000 B.C. to the fall of the Roman Empire in the fifth century C.E. through study of literature as well as archaeological artificts. Examines the interactions and interdependencies of these civilizations and considers their enduring influence.
