Description: Overview of major events, currents, ideas, works, and figures in French culture from the Baroque era to the French Revolution (1610-1799). Emphasis on nation-building and cultural production in a European and Global context. Critical reading and writing in French. Analysis of a variety of literary texts and cultural artifacts from a chronological and thematic perspective. Taught in French.
