ESM-5734: Introduction to the Finite Element Method
Description: Formulation and computer implementation of finite element models of typical equations of fluid flow, heat transfer, and solid mechanics. The problems considered include heat conduction and convection, torsion, ground water flow, electrostatics and magnetism, plane elasticity, flow of viscous incompressible fluids, and plate bending. Both theoretical development and computer program development are studied. I
