ESM-5124: Theory of Elasticity

Description: Equations of equilibrium, strain-displacement, compatibility, and constitutive equations in terms of Airy and complex potential stress functions applied to plane engineering boundary value problems including beams, disks, thick-walled tubes, perforated plates, and various stress raiser problems. Three-dimensional applications to torsion, bending, semi-infinite solids. Galerkin vector, Papkovich functions.
