EDCO-6534: DSM Application in Counseling
Description: Advanced study of the criteria of mental disorders and standard diagnostic and assessment procedures. Provides students with the extensive knowledge and skills necessary to differentiate abnormal from normal behavior in children and adults, with special emphasis upon the identification and assessment of the mental disorders included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). Emphasis will be on the application of the DSM in counseling situations.
