BMES-5054: Quantitative Cell Physiology
Description: Mathematical modeling, simulation, quantitative description of cell physiology and control. Numerical simulation of cellular physiologic processes including reaction kinetics, inhibition and cooperativity, passive transport, facilitated and carrier-mediate reaction kinetics. Cell resting membrane potential, and nerve and muscle tissue. Modeling of neural cell processes including voltage-gated channels, neurotransmitter kinetics, and postsynaptic cell membrane potentials.
