ART-3584: Nineteenth Century European Art: Neoclassicism to Post-Impressionism

Description: European art and material culture of the nineteenth-century. A chronological study of the major artists, artistic movements and styles from neoclassicism to post-impressionism. Analysis of works using key critical and philosophical texts. Emphasis on the role of gender, race, ethnicity and colonialism in the production of art and material culture.
