Description: Introduction to Egyptian art and architecture from the Predynastic through the Late Period with emphasis on the major monuments of Egyptian sculpture, painting and architecture. Emphasis on Egyptian art in the context of the unique landscape of the Nile River and surrounding desert, the art of contemporary cultures in the eastern Mediterranean world, and the history of archaeological exploration within the region.
