Description: Foundational study of Typography as it relates to Visual Communication Design including historical and contemporary context. Study of the formal principles of typographic design of both printed and digital matter. Overall focus on letterforms, design structures, and grid systems. Pre: Admittance to Visual Communication Design Program. 2566: Intermediate study of Typography as it relates to Visual Communication Design including advanced file management used with a variety of projects involving Typographic Composition.
