ART-1504: Contemporary Art and Practice
Description: Methods and practices fundamental to the making of contemporary visual art. Non-discipline-specific investigation of self-expression, meaning, and content through iterative, practice-based exercises. Development of personal artistic practice through the lens of contemporary art and its historical precedents. Exploration of various processes such as representation, abstraction, assemblage, performance, installation, mark making, digital, and time-based, or interactive experiences as means to self-expression and interpretation of meaning.
