ARCH-5644: Comparative Urbanism Seminar
Description: Explores current issues, situations, and developments in diverse urban settlements across cultures. Direct experience of selected cities will be supported by contemporary and historic readings, maps and drawings to illuminate differential technological, environmental, economic, social and cultural forces shaping subject cities. Research methods applicable to urban design will be discussed. Choice of cities and areas of focus will be determined by students based on their thesis research proposals. Pre: Graduate standing.
