ARCH-5134: Topics in Architecture History and Theory
Description: Study and critical evaluation of selected current and historical issues in architecture and environmental design. Materials studied will be in the form of projects and writings of key designers, interpretations by leading critics and analysis by historians. Topics will be selected from such areas as: theories of change in culture and architecture; concepts of expression, image, symbol, and form; problems of functional, rational, and social analysis; perception of space and organization. May be repeated for a maximum of 12 credit hours in varied options offered.
