Description: The course is designed to teach graduate and veterinary students the conceptions of animal welfare science and assessment and provide them with the opportunity to apply these principles to assess animal welfare. Students are expected to develop the ability to objectively assess animal welfare of species in production, research, zoos, as companions, and other situations. Pre: Graduate Standing.
