Description: Review of essential elements of elastic vibration and basic fluid mechanics; hydroelasticity based on potential flow theory; acoustic-structure interaction; dynamic aeroelasticity of airfoils; analytical solution of selected 1- and 2-D model problems; overview of computational models and methods for nonlinear fluid-structure interaction problems (e.g., partitioned and monolithic procedures, arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian, immersed/embedded boundary, interface tracking).
